The tower – an escape game

nce Upon a time, in the land of Cluetopia, the time had come for King Boddee to relinquish his throne and pass the crown to his son, Lord Plum.

However, the law of Cluetopia stated that the King must have a queen by his side so that they could rule the kingdom together.

Unfortunately, Lord Plum did not have any prospects for a Queen.

So, King Boddee with the help of his wife, Queen Abigail, planned a grand ball to which they invited all eligible ladies to present before Lord Plum.

The attendance of the ball was a fabulous success. Lord Plum danced with many beautiful prospects. Lord Plum began to show favor to five guests. And at the end of the evening, Queen Abigail presented five special invitations to the favored ladies.  Lady Peacock, Lady Scarlet, Lady Green, Lady Mustard, and Lady White.

The invitations were a royal request for the fortunate ladies to attend a royal retreat, hosted by the King and Queen.

At the end of the retreat, Lord Plum would choose one of the ladies to become his Queen. Alas that announcement never happened. Just as the retreat was ending, as Lord Plum was preparing his announcement, there was a loud scream. It seems there had been a murder!

Queen Abigail Boddee was found dead!

Everyone was a suspect, yet no one was found guilty. Scores of sleuths studied the case. Years passed, and the urgency to solve the crime faded. Eventually, the files from the case were put in The Tower, shut off and sealed. The King died soon after, and the throne rightfully went to Lord Plum.

As the King, Plum issued a royal decree. “Find my mother’s killer, and you shall have anything your heart desires.”

More time and years passed. King Plum heired his crown on to his son, and his son to his son. Soon the royal decree was forgotten, only known to scholars and the King’s wisest advisors.

One day, it came to pass, that the reigning King of Cluetopia went before his advisors. You see, he had fallen in love with someone who was not of noble blood, nor of noble birth. Therefore, his love was forbidden.

As it turns out, there was one way, and one way only, the King could marry the beautiful Storyteller. The King anxiously asked for the details. He would do anything, anything at all to make the Storyteller his Queen.

The advisors informed him he would have to catch a killer. …and he only had one hour!

Will you help the King tackle The Tower, so he and the Storyteller can live happily ever after?
